Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive Resort

Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive Resort

Cozumel is one of those locations that everyone loves. I am excited to be going to stay at an all-inclusive resort in the area.

What is an All-Inclusive Resort?

An all-inclusive resort includes everything you need except airfare. You pay for your room, meals, and entertainment.

All-inclusive resorts offer a wide variety of accommodations. From a swim-up suite to an ocean-view terrace to a two-story beachfront casita. Each room type comes with standard amenities, however, the in-room amenities may vary depending on the tier of suite chosen.

All-Inclusive resorts offer more than basic accommodations. Guests receive a wristband to prove they qualify for certain perks. Wristbands are usually colored differently based on what level of service you’ve paid for.

How do they differ from non-all-inclusive resorts?

All-inclusive resorts are very popular because they allow people to relax without having to worry about anything except what they’re doing. Guests don’t need to think about how much money they spent or whether they ate too many calories.

À la carte Resorts are great because you get to choose what you want to eat or drink. You can also stay in your room if you want to sleep instead of going out. Half Board means you get two meals per day. And Full Board means you get everything included.

What do all-inclusive resorts typically include?

All-Inclusive Resorts usually include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. They also include lodging, activities, and entertainment. Most all-inclusive resorts include alcoholic beverages, although some may charge more than others. Spa treatments, golfing, and water sports are often included in the all-inclusive package. However, tips and gratuities are often not included.

What kinds of guests do they tend to attract?

All-inclusive resorts are great places for families, singles, couples, and solo travelers. These resorts offer many activities to help guests relax and enjoy themselves. Some of the most popular activities include water parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, golf courses, spas, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, casinos, shopping malls, and more.

Increase the quality of restaurants and food served to attract more people who want gourmet dining experiences. Offering a tier of room suites with extra amenities for luxury-oriented travelers, like access to private lounge areas, spa services, and personal butlers, will help draw in more people who want to experience the finer things in life. Providing guided meditation sessions, yoga classes, and nutritional seminars for those looking to stay healthy while traveling will also be helpful.

Families should be able to enjoy themselves without having to worry about what other people think. Activities should be fun and relaxing, but also educational.

Why do guests choose all-inclusive resorts?

Guests stay at all-inclusive resorts because it’s easier to stay on a budget. At the resort, there are usually no surprises or extra costs. It’s also a stress-free option for travelers with more than two people. An all-inclusive resort is great for guests who want to travel together. Booking at an All Inclusive Resort makes for an easy experience.

Guests should be aware that some resorts may not offer any off-site activities or excursions. However, if they want to explore the local area, they should make sure to check the resort’s website before booking.

What do guests want to know about all-inclusive resorts?

Guests should expect to pay more money for all-inclusive resorts than for non-all-inclusive resorts. All-inclusive resorts include many things that guests may not need, such as drinks, gratuities, and entertainment. These extras come with a price tag. Also, guests must be aware that there are additional fees for activities, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and parasailing.

Top-shelf liquor is included in the price, but you’ll need to pay extra if you want motorized watersports. Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort, and you’re not expected to tip your service staff.

There are many types of activities you can do at this resort.

Day One Travel and Arrival

Travel was easy since I was just transferring from a Cancun resort to this one. Normally I would have just flown in and with direct flights from 40 airports in the USA, air travel is much easier than it once was.

Travel time to Cozumel is fast even with a layover which on the east coast means Atlanta for most flights, sometimes Charlotte.

Check-in time is the typical 4 PM, which is not bad at all since you can always spend time on a local beach, shop, or eat in the area. Myself, I had not been shopping in the area since I last came on a cruise ship, so I was happy to get the chance. One of the things the area is known for is pewter gifts and items. For me, this means buying a few chesses sets at great prices and then taking them back with me. Local craftsmen create some of the nicest pewter items in this area of Mexico. You can save on the cost of those purchasing them here, or pewter cups or plates.

Having just stayed at the Cancun location of the same all-inclusive resort chain, I was really looking forward to the next few days. Fiesta Americana just knows how to treat guests right. Great food, drinks, and service, all in amazing locations. What is not to love about that?

The room I booked here was a little different. It has a plunge pool just for your room. I thought that was a cool idea, so I chose that over my normal oceanfront or ocean view. I thought since I do not have the exact beach body at this time that I would use the plunge pool more and enjoy it more than the other big resort pools.

Now that I see it, I foretell room service plunge poolside in my future. Order some snacks or even breakfast and eat the meal while in the pool. I know many of us were brought up being told not to swim after we eat, but there is no science to that. It is an old wives tale. One kind of like the benefit of peeing on a jellyfish sting. My position is that salt water is better for both.

Once checked in, I went to review the resort and kind of get the lay of the land. The layout at this location is every bit as impressive as Cancun, and it reminds me a little of their Acapulco location. Cozumel has amazing ocean views and water you can see straight down to the bottom. It just does not have long beaches. Instead, the resort steps will take you right down into the water here.

The pools and spa here are great and the kid’s area is the same as the Cancun location. So, you know they have you covered in that area.

As I strolled the grounds, it was time to try some food and a few drinks. My first stop was the ROSATO restaurant, which is their Italian location on site and the food was great. The wine that was an option with the meal was nice, and the sauce on the lasagna was perfect. There are a lot of ways to make lasagna, but for me often the sauce will make or break the meal.

This resort offers 3 major restaurants and a coffee bar. You can also order room service at any hour as of this writing.

The staff was incredibly attentive! We were greeted by Luis by name when we arrived, asking if we needed any help or recommendations. The bar staff helped us with drinks our whole trip, the event staff put on fun games, and the dining staff was incredibly attentive during every meal. Great breakfast, super fast service at the dinner restaurants, and tasty food! The bill was exactly as expected, no hidden fees or add ons

My daughter dreamed of an elegant wedding on the beach in Cozumel, Mexico. The island had significant meaning to her with a turning point in her life and she wanted it to be a part of a new beginning in her life with her soon-to-be husband. Fiesta Americana Cozumel, Ms. Alejandra Chavez, their wedding planner, and fer_gonzalez_events (His Instagram Name – who magically turned the casual beach club setting into an elegant, celestial dreamland) worked to turn her dream into a reality! With friends and family gathering from many places in the world, this beautiful wedding became a joyous occasion that exceeded my daughter’s expectations. All the guests were amazed by the decor, the excellent food, the music, and the love shared by all! Thank you, Fiesta Americana and Ms. Alejandra Chavez, for creating for my daughter and her new husband a celebration of joy that brought the stars and the moon of the heavens down to celebrate with us!

I visited Fiesta Americana with a group of 4 others on Jan 2022 and it was nothing less than amazing. The staff, such as Jesús Pérez, Maria, Osvaldo, and Sofia, were so kind and helpful. We had a small injury during our trip and Jesus was so fast to help, checked back in with our group every day after, and truly cared about the injury and our experience there. We were celebrating a birthday, and this team made sure we enjoyed our time away from home! I cannot wait to return to the beautiful resort.

The only tip would be to plan for dinner off the resort if you want some really good food. Some meals were cold, took a little longer, or weren’t very flavorful. The best thing we had was salmon fried rice for the first-floor dinner restaurant.

Also, if you’re looking to dance or play some lively party music, find Maria and Sofia during lunchtime and request some good tunes! You have to bring the party – it’s kinda chill at the resort.

I have started to share reviews from others with these blog posts because I want you to hear from more than just me and my experiences.

Day Two Just Chilling

Wow, it is amazing to wake up when you feel like it with no must-do item on your list. I mean, I do love an active vacation, but these all-inclusive resorts kind of give your permission to stay on-site and do less. To truly unplug and relax is special. I slept in until about 9 AM, put in an order with room service, and hit the plunge pool right away. When the food came, I was still in the pool but jumped out and went and grabbed the room service. Then I took it poolside and got back in. Man, that was odd but fun. I do not think I have eaten while in a pool in 20 years, and most likely last time it was a hot tub, not a full pool. Don’t get me wrong, I was not having a full feast, more like snacking and just refusing to get back out of the water before I was ready.

When I did, I hit the showers at the resort. They must have some different regulations for water systems. Something was different because this was the best water pressure I have ever felt at any resort. Maybe my room was just closer to the pumps or something, but it was great.

After a hot shower, I thought I better get out in the sun to dry out my pores, some from all the water so far today. By now it was almost 12 PM so I added some sunscreen because while I am not pale I was also not tan enough for the sun this close to the equator.

If you have never really experienced sunburn, skip sunscreen here for more than an hour. It is kind of like Hawaii, at least when you are from Virginia, or anywhere farther North in the USA.

My entire day just became a lounging, eating, and drinking event. Sure there were the mentally scoring the lady’s bathing suits (the East German judges were scoring on a curve-joking) but it was clear to me that some wives had been working for this trip, and some ladies were still hoping to win wife status. More than a few could have walked right up to a bathing suit company and signed up to the model. There were plenty of normal folks too, but I think everyone was in better shape than me at the moment. If I wanted to meet someone here, I was going to have to convince her that I was either Santa or much wealthier and more interesting than I am. My mind was not really thinking about that, but the bathing suits do have an effect, even if it is temporary.

I stopped my people-watching, eating, and lounging to work on my 12oz curls, drinking a little more than normal. Ah, the dreaded curse of the lack of a bar tab, and open bar. It is just too tempting. I found a great bartender and quizzed her on a few drinks, then taught her a few.

I shared sloe Gin, Southern Comfort, Vodka, OJ, and Pineapple with a splash of Galliano across the top. You can look up the name of this online for yourself. It tastes great, however, and then my bartender who pretended not to know it, then made me another but Mexican style. Man, you have to love when people play along.

Her version just used a local favorite instead of the sloe gin, and then added some pina colada mix instead of the Galliano. It was tasty as well.

After that, I was able to surprise her with a few shooters from the early 90s she had not been born yet. First, a PB&J, which is any berry liquor (I like Chambord), Frangelico, and either cranberry or vodka depending on your desire for the strength of the shot. What is neat is that it tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Last but not least, the Green Junk was the second shooter I showed her. This is similar to the drink in New Orleans that is popular, but not the same thing. The owner of that drink protects their drink fiercely. So, to be clear, this is not that drink.

You take equal portions of Vodka, White Rum, and Gin. Melon Liqueur, simple syrup, and pineapple or guava juice if a pineapple is not available. I call it green junk because we saw that on a label of High C when I was young and it stuck in my and my sisters’ mind ever since. You can make this as a round of shooters for a group shaken over ice and strained into shot glasses or as a strong highball drink. Just do not have too many or you will not make it back to the room unassisted.

Day Three Hungover but Happy

Today I am moving slower than yesterday. I had a little too much fun “teaching” the kind of bartender. So much so that I have to find one of her peers for a little hair of the dog this morning first thing. I am not in much pain but this is a vacation so I do not want to have any.

I could take some aspirin and bottled water or juice and then go back to sleep for a few hours, but instead, I am choosing to power through with an early drink or two. I almost drank water from the tap being half out of it, but memory long past of Montezuma’s revenge stopped me in my place and stood my mind to reason in time.

I started with some Irish Coffee heavy on the Irish and even a little cream. That dulled my head and I moved forth with the courage to drink a rum drink of some kind. No fancy names or layering here, just fire for effect.

The next step was the spa for a massage and some pampering. At this point, my pain from overdoing it the night before was down to a dull roar that felt a bit like a head cold. So a massage and then some time in the pool was just what the Doctor ordered.
