The Hilton Club is New York Cities Gem and I have not been to New York or the Big Apple in some time, so I am excited to go.

Day One Travel
For myself, a trip to New York is about a 7-hour drive if traffic works for me. If you do not the time it right, traffic can make the journey a bit of a nightmare. New York is changing again. It seems to change every few decades. In the 1980s, when I first came to New York with a school group, I was shocked by the size of everything. If you have never been, it is worth the trip to see the famous locations and some of the historic buildings.
On my first trip, one of the spots we visited was World Trade Center, and we went up in the tower and looked out from the massive observation decks. They had two one on top of the building exposed somewhat to the elements and another observation deck inside that had huge windows to the world outside. Including bench-like sitting in front of those giant full-length windows. Talk about fear of heights. Wow, had it not been for a girl I had a crush on wanting to sit in that area, I would never have seen it. Now no one ever will again. On this trip, I will not go back to the World Trade Center memorial. I did that on my last trip to New York. It is worth seeing and taking it in, but too powerful and sad to see each time you visit New York.

I booked a 1 bedroom suite, which was spacious and comfortable. More than I tend to expect in New York because space is typically such a luxury. My suite was on the 37th floor and was 661 square feet, which for a major city like New York is more like a large apartment.
The 2-bedroom suites are on the 37 and 38th floors and are even larger at 840 square feet in size. These are generous rooms that feature a primary bedroom with a Euro king-size bed and a bathroom with a freestanding shower and separate soaking tub. The second bedroom is furnished with a Euro king-size bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a cozy sitting area that can be separated from the main living area to create a relaxing element of privacy. The suite also offers a separate living room with a spacious lounging area, queen-size sleeper sofa, club table and chairs, wet bar, and 55-inch plasma TV with cable. Additional features include a small refrigerator, coffeemaker, daily housekeeping, valet/laundry, and turndown service (upon request).
My suite had one bedroom, but all the rest was much the same as described above for the 2 bedrooms.
After getting settled, I wanted to go grab some local New York food. Just one block over from the club is Oceans Prime which is a seafood restaurant in New York. In this one meal, I was going to offset my savings on a room for a day, but I heard the food was worth the high price tag.
I had an appetizer, the Ahi Tuna, and two drinks and with a tip, my dinner was $200 just for me. I only mention the price, so you are aware of the cost in case it is out of your comfort zone. If it is never fear, there are many more restaurants all within a short walk of the Hilton Club. At least 20 within a few blocks alone. Almost all have lower prices than the one restaurant I chose. The food was, but I did feel a little of the price tag even when I was ready for it.
Day Two Doing the Big Apple
New York City is a great city with lots of things to do. You can go to Broadway shows, eat delicious foods, shop or dine, and see some amazing sights. There are also plenty of places to stay and you can even rent an apartment if you want to be close to everything.
New York City is a great place to visit because you can walk everywhere. You can also take public transportation to get around easily. There are many new sights to see and fun activities to enjoy.
This year, the city may be less crowded than usual. However, that doesn’t mean that you should skip out on visiting some of the most popular attractions. With fewer visitors, you’ll get more time to enjoy these places without the crowds. Use our guide to plan your itinerary.
The statue of liberty is located in New York City. It is the tallest statue in the United States and weighs about 449,000 pounds. It stands over 150 feet high and is made up of copper and iron. It was built by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi as a gift to the people of the United States.
You can see the Statue of Liberty from land, with particularly nice views from Battery Park. However, to really appreciate the Statue of Liberty, you should go on a boat trip and get up close. Go for a walk around the base, and reserve tickets if you want to enter the pedestal. As of this writing, the crown remains closed.
On your way to the Statue of Liberty, you can stop at Ellis Island and learn about the history of immigration. A great museum is located there, and you can even search the on-site computer database to see records of immigrants who passed through here.
Tickets to enter the Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island may be sold out or it may not be open at the time. Check online and you should pre-buy tickets to get them before the high season. The Statue of Liberty Tour also includes access to the Museum of Ellis Island.
You should buy your tickets for the ferry first. There are many hawkers who claim to be “official representatives”. You can avoid them by going to the ticket booths.
Central Park is very large. You can easily get lost if you go there without knowing what you’re looking for. It takes about an hour to see everything in Central Park.
There are many things to see in Central Park, but some of them are more expensive than others. The Belvedere Castle costs $8 to get into, while the Strawberry Fields memorial costs $5. The Central Park Zoo costs $10 to enter, and the Lake costs $3.50 per person.
Skaters enjoy ice skating outdoors during the cold months of winter. A large Christmas tree lights up the scene for the holidays. People come to see the skating rink in the winter.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is located in New York City. It was founded in 1870, making it one of the oldest museums in Broadway in the world. The museum houses over Shubert 2 million pieces of art, spanning a time span of 5000 years. It is also well-known there for its sculptures of Atlas.
Empire State Building
Empire State Building is a very tall skyscraper located in Manhattan, New York City. It stands at a height of 828 feet (251 meters) and has 102 floors. The building was designed by architect William F. Lamb and completed in 1931. The building is owned by the state of New York and managed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
There are actually two observatories on top of the Empire State Building. Both offer amazing views. You can see up to 80 km away, looking into the neighboring state of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. The 86th-floor observatory is the highest open-air observation platform. This area has been featured in many movies and TV shows.
It is impressive to me how fast the elevators are here at Empire State. I know they have been updated many times but they are nearly as fast as those I recall from the twin towers. I went up to the observation deck of the World Trade Center in I think 1984 on my first trip to New York with a group from school. There were a lot of first for me on that trip. First flight at 15 years old, my first trip without my parents, my first time in New York, and first kiss with a girl I had liked since I was 5. It was a great trip.
Day Three Seeing more of New York
9/11 Memorial Museum was built in a beautiful, curving glass building. Inside, there were exhibits about the events of September 11th, 2001. There were also artifacts, photos, and video presentations. The building was constructed around the remains of the World Trade Center and incorporated the old buildings into the new structure. The museum is located on the southern side of One World Trade Center, on Greenwich Street. I could not make myself go on this trip, but if you have not been you should go for sure. It is moving and an important thing to do, especially for families with kids that are old enough to process things.
For me, my day started with breakfast at Dabble which is within easy walking distance of the club. They offer a breakfast buffet here that rivals all, but maybe one buffet I have ever been to and that is in Las Vegas and the Wynn. The price was about the same as a Vegas buffet and the food quality was amazing.
After eating more than I should, I pulled myself away and walked first back to the club to shower, change and deal with the necessities of life.
When you visit New York, consider a show on Broadway or a show at Lincoln Center. You can go to the Lincoln Center if you want to see some great performances. There are many types of performances going on there.
The Lincoln Center is home to many types of events. Some of them include the New York City Ballets, the New York Philarmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Juilliard School Of Music. There are also other types of events such as Lincoln Center Theater and the Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra.
For me, there was not a show going that I wanted to see so instead I did something too odd to almost mention, but here I am mentioning it.
I went to Sloan Kettering, which is the amazing hospital that treated my father almost 20 years ago with some life-saving surgery for Mesothelioma. I just wanted to stop in to see if one of his doctors was still working and even know it is never done. Stop in if she was not in surgery to say hello. I think also this was a way of me facing the demons left from spending almost a month here when my father was in intensive care. I think luckily the Doctor was not in (it would have been weird to talk with her again) but I tried. I did manage to find the little deli near the place we stayed most of the time when he was in the hospital. It was neat to connect to something from that moment in my life. I ordered a lasagna to go and ate it outside just as I had 18 years before. This time after my father’s passing, but in memory of how hard he fought to stay with us, including the 17 years of added life the professionals helped him experience.
After the odd side trip, I wanted to go to the Rose Museum it is a small museum but special if you love entertainment. It is at Carnegie Hall and has been open since 1991. Afterward, I was able to do a tour of Carnegie Hall and that was much more interesting than I would have thought. The guide was impressed with her knowledge, and the history of the venue was one that anyone in the United States can connect with.
Next, I went to see Grand Central Station which is a work of art. The subway is an amazing way to get around New York City and it makes the visit very easy. You do walk a ton on a trip to the city, so bring some comfortable shoes.

The best Stay in NYC. The staff and accommodations are great. Convenient to all the best spots in NYC. Staff always make you feel at home. The club lounge is a great benefit to the stay. Great breakfast and 5:00 happy hour as well as an established gym.
I am so thankful that the Hilton Club finally opened up. I cannot think of a better way to start off the Christmas season than coming to NYC and staying at the Hilton club. The amenities are over-the-top breakfast, happy hour, and anything that you can’t find in your room, you just call the front desk and they have it immediately. I wouldn’t want to belong anywhere else but to the NYC Hilton club.
For myself, the Hilton Club exceeded my expectations, which were already high because of my great experiences at the Grand Hilton Resorts over the last year or so.
If you want the best trip to New York, consider the Hilton Club, not the hotel side, and book through TZort.
