Day One Travel & Arrival at Ocean Beach Club a Hilton Vacation Club

For me, travel to this resort was just a quick 20 minutes drive from my home. But it is a treat to stay in a nice resort on the beach.

Many of you who will be driving to the resort and the beach will be coming to the area on Interstate 64. Interstate 64 and take you across the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel and then you can follow the signs 2 to 64 + Virginia Beach cell this will take you down to the boardwalk area and I actually will push you out pretty close to the location of the resort itself.

Ocean Beach Club, a Hilton Vacation Club, is located right on the ocean itself. Interstate 264 is also called the Virginia Beach Expressway and if you come in on the expressway, it will drop you off on Route 60 which is also known as Pacific Avenue. To get to the resort, you can take Atlantic Avenue to 34th Street, take a right on 34th and then take the left on Baltic Avenue and the resort will be on your right-hand side at 34 01 Atlantic Avenue. When you are looking for the to turn for the resort, you will notice right before the resort is a Hilton Garden Inn, so the next drive after that is the pull-in for the check-in to the ocean beach resort club itself.

The resort offers one and two-bedroom Villas that started at about 640 square feet and go too well over 900 square feet in size. The one-bedroom suites come with a queen-size bed TV bathroom and shower tub competition as well as a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room area and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator stove top oven and dishwasher on-site there are also complimentary laundry facilities that are available. The larger two-bedroom suites still on for the queen size bed TVs in the basic setup but also have a second bedroom that is furnished with an additional queen size bed and a separate bathroom as well so that just makes it easier for families to get ready every day and prepare for the fun and then there’s also the queen-size sleeper sofa so you can have up to six guests comfortably in a two-bedroom Suite here.

The resort itself offers a pool fitness center, Sundeck, Game Room, Cafe, hot tub, and what they refer to as a splash pad which is like an outdoor water fountain area but it’s intended for kids and others to be able to go into the water and enjoy instead of just being a nice water feature. There truly is something special about Ocean Beach Club a Hilton Vacation Club.

Recent Reviews of Ocean Beach Club a Hilton Vacation Club

We booked with Ocean Beach Club resort and were very pleased with our beach view suite. Having a kitchen was helpful. The only thing was the Queen size room that was requested really felt like a full-size bed. The indoor pool felt more kid-friendly and not a place to relax. Luckily the sister resort next door (connected by the same patio) has a 21 and up for an indoor pool and hot tub. Honestly, that saved our trip as my husband and I was on a kid-free weekend. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and just a few steps away from the beach and restaurants was perfect.

Beautiful view of the ocean (I really had no reason to leave out). Decent sized a clean room and the bed was comfortable. I LOVEDDDD THE ADULT POOL & SPA ☆ The family outdoor pool was really pretty, but having access to the adult pool and spa was a PLUS!! Elizabeth was great with communication from the day I checked in. I received “just checking in” texts (which I could not respond to ) but it was nice to have them make sure I was enjoying my stay.

Absolutely love Ocean Beach Club. My entire family comes here annually and has ever since they opened. This year our rooms were ready early and check-in was smooth. The employees are always friendly with the kids. I love that we can all stay together here. The location right on the beach can’t be beaten. Take a few steps outside and you’re in the sand. I can’t wait to return again next year!

I really enjoyed staying here. The staff was friendly and courteous. Pedro was great and made me and my family feel at home. The room was spacious and clean. The view of the beach and ocean from our balcony was breathtaking. will definitely be staying there on our next trip to Virginia Beach

The hotel is in a great, perfect location, with comfortable, clean rooms! My kids loved the three swimming pools overlooking the ocean and the Tortuga tiki bar serving great food and cocktails! Right outside the Tortuga there were nightly live performances by various musicians, perfect ambiance! Fully recommend!

Day Two Beach Time

My first day at this resort was perfect weather, so I woke up and watch the sunrise over the water in the distance and decided that I really didn’t want to go anywhere. I just wanted to enjoy the resort and its beachfront access first-hand. Just across Atlantic Avenue from the resort is Pocahontas Pancakes. This is one of several breakfast-themed restaurants in the area that offers really great food and eats that are affordable and very convenient to the resort. I had to try the pancakes out for myself for breakfast today and also had scrambled eggs and sausage with my pancakes, but the meal was excellent. I chose some freshly squeezed orange juice for my drink and I was a happy camper.

A day at the beach here seems different from a lot of other beaches that I also enjoy. What makes Virginia Beach unique is the boardwalk just makes you feel more connected to the beach and the businesses around the beach which also pull you into either want to rent a bike in and ride your bike on the boardwalk or two at least walk and stroll more than you typically would at most beaches on the East Coast just because the boardwalk is so nice and convenient. Here you can walk quickly to restaurants for every meal of the day if you like and many of the restaurant locations have amazing Waterfront or Oceanfront views and great local seafood or farm-to-table offerings.

During the holiday season, you can also see light shows right here on the ocean or if it’s near July 4th, there are always fireworks at the beach and many times during the year there are live music and events at the beach that really bring the beach alive with very happy engage crowds of guests and you can see some great music and experience really fun times right on the beach.

Day Three Going Local

Virginia Beach is a part of the larger area, which is called Hampton Roads Virginia. Hampton Roads encompasses at least seven cities. Each City is either directly on the water or across the water from another city in the area. Since the towns or cities are so close together, there is a great deal to do and see even once you leave Virginia Beach and the area of the beach itself. Within an hour or two, you can be at local historic sites. You can also enjoy some of the best Golf Resorts, or golf courses in the world. When visiting, you can also experience Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown, and learn about our founding fathers, and the fight for independence.

In the area, there are many museums, some of which are world-class and without a match. You can also visit local theme parks like Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, which is about a 2-hour drive from the resort itself. So one of the great things about Virginia Beach is your access to all that additional entertainment, places of historical interest, and wonderful things to do.

Certainly at Virginia Beach, the main draw is summer fun from late April until early October. The weather is really ideal for beachfront fun. however many come to the area in the fall as a part of their overall trip vacation to Virginia they might stop on their way down and look at the Turning of the leaves in the mountains of Virginia and then come down to Virginia Beach and the larger historic area including Colonial Williamsburg and spend several days in the area visiting the historic sites shops sounds and really experience all that the area has to offer.

If you want to get the most out of a trip to the Virginia Beach area, plan some time to visit local historical sites in either Yorktown Jamestown or Colonial Williamsburg while you’re here. Or enjoy golf at one of the many championship-level golf courses in the area. or in season consider spending some time on the ocean itself, either fishing or touring the area on a boat in the Chesapeake Bay.

Get the most out of your trip by making this resort home base and venturing out beyond the beach in the larger Hampton Roads area. Just book the Ocean Beach Club a Hilton Vacation Club via Tzort for the win.
