Diamond Resorts Alhambra Villas

This part of the Alhambra resort is much like the other except for the ability to book and stay in this villa-level accommodation. For this part of my trip, I will literally just be moving accommodations and parking at the resort.

Day One Travel & Arrival at Diamond Resorts Alhambra Villas

This is a great resort. The villa part of the resort is equally nice as the other section. Both sit on over 47,000 acres of land that includes amazing lakes, walking paths, streams, and local trees. If you are coming as a family, there is plenty of room to spread out and disconnect together.

Couples coming and staying in the Villas will love the setting and the opportunities for privacy all around the villas that are just a step away.

My Villas here was a 2 bedroom giant, which was a nice opportunity to see this size villa at this location. These are 2 bedroom lockouts that can give grandparents a nighttime break, or older kids a sense of independence on a trip.

I honestly was skeptical at first, but once I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very small and private resort. It feels as if you are renting out your own little apartment. We got a 2 bedroom lock off, and it was plenty of room. Very clean, has great service, and has very comfortable rooms. Totally recommend. It’s a little farther from the parks and activities but it’s the area is much more relaxed and calm.

A lovely, small, quiet resort in a convenient location. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The decor was nice and updated. The bathtub/shower was kind of a weird design, but still very nice. The night security is very helpful when we check in late at night. If you are going to be arriving after 10 pm, I would call ahead and let them know. The only downside is that there is NOT enough parking at all. If you have a big vehicle (large truck, or any trailers) don’t come here. I have no idea why they didn’t take that into account when making the building, but there aren’t enough parking spots for the number of units. We had to park about 2 buildings away from our room, which was annoying. But they do have some little walking paths that connect all the buildings which made the parking doable.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Extra clean and it was great for my husband and me to simply relax by the pool. Traffic is bad, and it is on the main road so there is a lot of noise from that. The bed was so comfortable and the tub was huge! The only problem for us was that there was no easy access shower. It was almost impossible for my husband, who has a bad leg, to get in and out of that tub. We would definitely stay there again if it were just the two of us. Also loved the screened-in porch!! Thanks, Megan and Emily for everything!

I Like this place, it’s clean and spacious. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite and were provided with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Their bed is very comfy, the tub is huge, the kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook, the pool and grounds are clean and the staff is friendly. The Wi-Fi is strong, and I was able to with it from my unit with no issues.

The property is super clean and comfy. I enjoyed just sitting on the screened-in patio and relaxing in the evening. It was especially nice to have a washer and dryer so that I could return home with clean clothes. I will definitely be back!

It’s about 1 hour from Orlando, based on traffic. Located away from theme parks, but it does have many businesses nearby. If you wish to live away from the rush, it’s the right place for you. Very clean and excellent guest service.

Clean room with comfortable beds and supplies. The office is in one of the units and closes, but we checked in earlier and had no issues. The sofa in the living room was outdated and made noises, but other than that, the furniture was good.

Very comfortable, clean room. Loved the big tub. Great playground for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful when my little one decided to lock us all (including herself) out of our bathroom. Would definitely stay again!

Nice place to stay instead of a hotel. Walls are very thin between units. We could hear everything coming from the adjoining unit. Felt very safe, though. Clean and convenient.

Time for dinner for me. I headed for Mizu Teppanyaki & Sushi III which was a local spot that offered not only sushi but the hibachi-style cooking I enjoy. I did a triple combo that was chicken, steak, and shrimp, and I was a happy man. Well, the sake did not hurt either.

Day Two Disney Magic Kingdom

I wanted to spend more time at Disney, so I headed back to where it all began for me and often ends for me again on a trip to Disney, the Magic Kingdom.

I started with It’s a Small World. Join me on a virtual ride if you can handle the song on your mind all day.

Next, I visited the Hall of Presidents. This timeless experience is still neat to me even when I see some modern Presidents I did not care for so much.

Today I did not have a park hopper pass so I am just going to spend the day at Magic Kingdom. Tomorrow I will go to Epcot for the full day to take it all in.

Did you know that Disney even planned out the distance from a trashcan?

It is true that in the Magic Kingdom you should never be more than 27 steps from a trashcan. The reason for this is that they wanted to make it easy for people to keep the park cleaner. After weeks of observation and testing, they found 27 steps was the best distance to assure a clean park and happy guests.

Disney now offers a new pass that is $15 a day and gives you access to some rides with little or no line. This is like the fast pass of old but now they charge for it. This is also controlled via a smartphone app, so you need to be digitally savvy.

Also, it is important to note that you need to do a little more than get tickets these days. You also have to get access to the park for the day. This is related to capacity and COVID, so this could change at any time. Check Disney’s Website for updates and details.

I am in the park and now I am hungry after being here a few hours. I had planned ahead and booked a table for lunch at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. Since I am solo, I booked for a late lunchtime when it would be less busy (if that is possible). You do have to book about 60 days in advance here. I had never, so I just wanted to check it out. It is $62 a person for adults and $35 for kids, so it should be a good experience at that price. For that price, you get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

I chose the French Onion Soup, Center-cut Filet Mignon, and Vanilla Cake with Lemon Curd for dessert. I was happy to say I did this since I never did before, but it was not a show-stopper. The setting is, but the food was average and the tables seemed close together. If I was scoring it out of 10, I would give it a 5. There are many more fun choices in Magic Kingdom.

Day Three Epcot

Today I wanted to take in all the nations you can visit in Epcot. I really wanted to dive in. Now that I am over 50 and not as active as I was in my 30s there are many of these nations I feel I will never go to in person so to visit them virtually here and interact with staff who are from their native lands I thought would be a day well spent.

I think it is neat that Disney puts the effort to bring these workers from around the world here to Epcot. In most cases, they like to save money doing so, but they also give Americans the chance to have an exchange with others from around the globe. I think that still has value even in our modern world.

I started with the ride Soaring Around The World to keep with my theme of the day. Take a virtual ride with me.

After that ride, I then spent the day having a ball walking around the lake, and seeing every country that is represented. I also snacked too much trying some treats or food in many of them.

I had eaten so much that I did not do a meal the entire day. I just kind of snacked away the entire day. Then I hung out for the fireworks over the lake. It is a great show.

If you want a vacation like this, consider this resort and book with Tzort. I really enjoyed my stay here at Diamond Resorts Alhambra Villas.
