I looked forward to this trip. This location is, so I had to book ahead of time and plan this vacation out in some detail.

Day One Travel and Arrival at Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos All-Inclusive Golf and Spa Resort
Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf and Spa Resort is in Cabo San Lucas if you have not been, pay attention, so you do not continue to miss out. Flights to Cabo are about 7 hours but usually require a layover. My layover was 2 hours and was in Atlanta.
I left out of Norfolk International Airport at 5:30 AM and arrived in Cabo after 12:30 PM. This meant that I had hours before check-in time at 4 PM. It is about 40 minutes from the airport and the resort made transportation arrangements available, but I opted to figure it out myself since the flight was scheduled to arrive several hours before check-in time. If you are not as adventurous, you could drop your bags at the resort for their care and custody, then enjoy many of the shops and locations near the resort.
After some walking around the area and even an early lunch near the resort, I finally took my bag and went to check-in. If you do not know or understand what a 5-star resort means, then book this resort now and learn for yourself.
I have stayed at hundreds of resorts all over the world. Top brands that make wallets and purses spew out cash to admittance every single day. This is another level. Even when looking online via Google or other tools, everything says 5 stars. The reason is that this truly is. Aside from unnamed resorts, this is the top tier for certain.

Read just a few of the reviews of Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf and Spa Resort you can find online here:
We just returned from a week-long trip at Fiesta Americana Los Cabos and, well, we wish we had never left! The location is beautiful; the resort is gorgeous, and right on the beach. The staff and their friendliness are superb. They really go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are met and to make you feel like an important guest amongst all the guests on the property. My daughter loved riding to and from our room on the “carritos” the golf cart taxis that drive you around on the property. I loved watching whales from the pool and feeding the hundreds of fish at the beach right in front of the pool (they are friendly and eat crackers from your hand). Thank you for a glorious week. See you soon!
Birthday present to my husband and we had the time of our lives! This place is amazing and so beautiful there are viewpoints from almost every area of the hotel. It’s a paradise. The food is amazing there are so many restaurants to choose from. The drinks are made to perfection, and the service is phenomenal. They have great entertainment options but honestly, just lounging at the pool is a party! Also, the beach is absolutely beautiful as well. be sure to ask for Marcos. He went above and beyond to make our stay. enjoyable definitely will be back soon
Our stay with Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos was nothing short of perfect. We had been to the Fiesta Americana in Cozumel in February 2020 (just before the pandemic hit!) and had been so impressed with the food and service that we decided to visit their location in Los Cabos. The food was excellent every time, and I especially enjoyed Blu (international cuisine) as well as the Italian. The chicken quesadillas at breakfast, as well as the crepes, were freshly made right in front of you and were my favorite part of waking up! Alberto was hilarious, and I loved playing bocci, and volleyball and doing the water aerobics class! Alejandro Nario was amazing as well! Finally, Raul was a pleasure to meet and helpful to us all week. We will definitely be back!
If those reviews do not wow and impress you, let me continue to share the details of my trip and experience.
What Do Hotel Ratings Mean?
A hotel with a four-star rating means that the hotel is average. Five-star hotels are considered very high quality. Four-star hotels are also of very high quality. Three-star hotels are average. Two-star hotels are of low quality.
Hotels with one star offer basic accommodations. You won’t find any frills or luxuries.
Two-star hotel rooms are generally cheaper than three-star or four-star hotels. These hotels may be less luxurious but still offer great value. Three-star hotels tend to be more expensive than two-star hotels. Four-star hotels are generally more expensive than three-star hotels. Five-star hotels are very expensive and offer top-notch customer service.
Key Takeaways
Hotels in the United States tend to have star ratings of 1-5. There are many private organizations that rate hotels in the US and Canada. Criteria for these ratings vary. Most hotels in the US and North America tend to have star ratings ranging from 1 to 5.
A one-star hotel is an average hotel. Five-star hotels offer luxury accommodations.
Star Rating The Bare Necessities
A one-star hotel is a simple place to stay overnight. Rooms are usually clean and comfortable. No restaurant is available on site, but there should be a nearby restaurant within walking distance. You won’t receive any special services, but you’ll have access to nearby public transport and reasonably priced meals and entertainment.
Two Star Rating A Few Extras
A two-star hotel is a place where you stay when you’re traveling. You can get a room there if you need to sleep somewhere. Two-star hotels are often part of a chain or franchise. The rooms are simple but clean. There’s a TV and a telephone. And you’ll probably be able to eat something at the hotel. Front desks are open 24/7.
Star Rating Moving on Up
Three-star hotels are usually part of larger, more luxurious hotel chains. Their style and comfort make them better than one or two-star hotels. They offer a wider range of amenities and services. A three-star hotel offers a fitness center, a swimming pool, business services, room service, conference facilities, and valet services, among other things.
Rooms are bigger and better equipped than those in cheaper hotels. Business travelers prefer them. Hotels close to highways and tourist areas are more expensive.
Star Rating Upscale Comfort
Four-star hotels are very expensive and provide lots of extra services. They also have big rooms and beautiful decor. Guests usually get a lot of perks like free breakfast, spa treatments, and other things.
5 Star Ratings
These are the 5-star accommodations and resorts. Luxury hotels are the most luxurious places in the world. Their lobbies are designed to impress, and their services are impeccable. Guests are pampered and do not have to lift a single finger. Rooms are decorated with luxury amenities such as Jacuzzis, plasma TVs, and plush bedding.
Five-star hotels usually include gourmet restaurants, on-site entertainment, state-of-the-art fitness centers, multiple heated pools, hot tubs, valets, spa services, tennis courts, and golf course access. Champagne wishes and caviar dreams!
The Bottom Line
There’s no question that the star rating system can be very vague, confusing, and even arbitrary. However, if you do some research, it is possible for you to pinpoint the perfect hotel for your needs and your budget. You should also check out what others have to say about hotels before you make your decision. Some travel websites include guest reviews in addition to their own ratings and, though you may want to take into consideration personal biases and quirks, they’re usually quite candid and accurate.
This resort is a true 5-star resort, and it is all-inclusive.
This resort is everything a 5-star should and is supposed to be. Situated in Los Cabos, which sits at the very tip of Mexico’s Southern Baha Peninsula. The sea temperature year-round here never falls below 70 and in July through November, it is above 80 degrees. So plan on doing something in and on the water while you are here for certain.
Onsite experiences here are too many to list, but this will give you an idea.

Kitchen class

Spa (A surcharge is applied)

This 5-star resort just knows what you want and makes sure you get it. I can’t believe I allowed myself to come here alone. I should have brought someone to experience this with me, and from the looks of things, someone that I have a romantic interest in. They set up cabanas on the beach here just for couples to eat private dinners in as they look into each other’s eyes and the ocean. Complete with grapes, surrounded by Tiki torches, a full 3-hour event that includes a massage, snacks, wine, and more.
Sure, the resort also offers tons for singles and even families here. I myself ran into a bachelorette party on my weekend. They were a fun lively bunch with a nice lady that was getting mentally ready for her second marriage. This weekend with her girlfriends was not the same as her bachelorette party would have been a decade before. She carried with her wisdom and a sense of appreciation for a better relationship with a guy that was an adult. I wish her and her friends all the best. They were very supportive of each other.
Day Two Trying more of the spots
I woke up and headed for the buffet for breakfast. VIÑA DEL MAR is the main buffet here and the best site for breakfast. I beat the partying crowd up today since I did not overdo things on night one.
Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf and Spa Resort offers many dining options, including:

SUSHI SKY BAR

I want to try everything while I am here, but I will have to plan the business casual ones since I do not plan to wear more than shorts too often. If I was on a date, I would do it more frequently.
If you were counting as you read that list, then you saw there are two buffets instead of one. That is because of the size of this resort and how many visitors their restaurants serve each day.
You also see there are a dozen locations listed, and that does not cover all that area available since there are places to grab drinks about as often as you find a trash can at Disney. (Every 27 feet, random fact).
I opted to add some golf today to my focused events. It was last minute but 3 of the ladies from the bachelorette group wanted to play and the others did not, so somehow the big guy pointing thumbs at himself got invited. Hey, I can’t be anti-social all the time.
We had booked (rather they had) booked an early tee time, which was good because it does get hot down here. As a big guy, it is not great to let people see you dripping perspiration by the gallon.
The golf course was a good one, if not a little windy due to the amazing waterfront location. If you too enjoy gold, do make arrangements for a tee time. There is a modest surcharge, but it was more than worth it.
The things to do here onsite are seemingly endless and so well executed.
Golf was complete. I felt renewed once we returned, and I sipped my first drink in a few hours. I am not a heavy drinker these days but an all-inclusive just kind of makes you say to yourself, “why not?” so you do.
Day Three before you go
I wanted to try to get in all the things I have missed so far. for me, this means mostly some of the restaurants that required slacks, and the spa. I started at the other buffet today and it was much the same as the first, just the layout and setting were different. The food was great, and the service was perfect.
Then I was off to a SPA appointment for a massage and I ran into the gals again. They invited me over, but I explained I had a masseuse waiting, but I did send them two bottles of wine not included in the typical offering as a thank you for their time spent with me yesterday and the night before being friends. Their kindness made my trip. Well, that and this billion-dollar resort.
After my SPA moment, I was off to lunch. I had an impressive list of places to eat at today. Rosato specializes in Italian cuisine, so that was my first business casual stop today. Yum, it was great one entrée down. It was time to hit another while I was in the area. BLU was next, and the food was outstanding, along with the views. Seated here, you can see Mar de Cortés while you enjoy a Pacific menu of goodies.
I think the only business casual place I missed was the Tapas restaurant because later that day I had LA CEVICHERÍA’s seafood, which was impressive. So, it was my last meal location instead. I doubled down with a local fish that was great.
Other than all that food and a few drinks, my entire day was one of drinking up the sun, reapplying suntan lotion, and chilling by the pools.

I took full advantage of the resort’s airport service on the way home. With check out being at 10AM and me being a little hung over, getting delivered back to the airport was a blessing.
